Great headphone

A good upgrade from my Kph 30i the treble on my 30i made my tinnitus play up,weirdly enough. The Kph 40 have a more dynamic sound, more in your face. The 30i compared to the 40s sounded more distant. Still a great headphone as well.

Budget audiophile masterpiece that holds up for a long time of usage..

I drive my headphones hard.. sometimes over 20 hours straight (insomnia symptoms) and these have hold up better than any Grado I’ve ever had. Step on them? Pop the drivers back and they pop right back in place… very neutral tuning that requires no eq to sound just right.. they very slowly open up over a few weeks, so slowly you may not even notice. Good thick bass.. good for every genre… I mostly listen to electronica. Rock and Classical and it all sounds great with these… I imagine they scale well with a good amp too but I haven’t ever felt the need to do it really. Great off my iPhone with lightning dongle (official) and also a bit better with my old school Panasonic portable cd player,.. the differences can be felt when switching the devices and I appreciate each device again after I switch over. My favorite budget headphone that leaves many $100+ headphones I’ve tried in tears.

Took a long time to ship but they sound really good and they are very comfortable.

The usb - c utility cable, however, arrived defective. It did not work.

Mind blowing

I ordered it through courier in India. It took around 15 days to reach me. But man! it’s worth waiting… I should say it’s worth waiting even a month. I have following initial impressions-

Pros :

1. Very comfortable. Before using this i had never imagined that an on ear headphone could be this comfortable. Great job KOSS.
2. Amazing sound. Again it is beyond explanation as how such a tiny on ear unit could sound that great. I can feel d base, d vocals and d instruments. Wonderful job done.
3. Price. Such a fine product as such a low price. How could that be possible.
4. Built and wire. Good and strong.

Cons:

R U Kidding??

More durable than the plastic models. I find them more comfortable than portapros. I wear them everywhere, especially on my bike.
