High-end audio and quality headphones have been my passion for a very long time. I have owned many pairs, including very expensive ones from brands like Hifiman, Abyss, Audeze, and Stax. As a result, I have a good overview of the strengths as well as the trade-offs that headphones come with. I love the Koss ESP/950 (95X). They have a very special, wonderful timbre that sounds incredibly natural. They are also remarkably comfortable due to their minimal weight and low clamping force. For me, the construction, materials, and design of these headphones are brilliant. Weight and comfort of headphones are key for me. I regard heavy metal or wood components more as disadvantage .I doubt that metal or wooden headphones will last longer or be sturdier. Scratches show up much faster on metal, and thanks to its low weight and flexibility, plastic absorbs impact better. The combination of a natural sound with high resolution and the fact that they feel weightless on my head makes the Koss 950 / 95X unique in the headphone market—regardless of price. As a fan of iconic audio gear, their long history is a huge asset to me.
