A little pricey, but the sound is very high on the list of best headphones out there... Sadly aftermarket pads improve things even further. Would be nice to have a more dense pad with similar improvements stock.

Cable is frustrating as the headphone feels relatively cheap and the cable is fixed at the ear cups. So damage will mean a new headphone. The lightness does make them comfortable though however the band adjustment is pretty loose and could offer more secure adjustments.

The amp is lightweight also, but a bit more weight would make it more stable on a desk as cords can easily shift it.

Sound wise i find these a nice upgrade in most ways to the Sennheiser hd600. The sub bass is their weakness, but it's still decent. Everything else especially with vesper pads is top notch - neutral, clean, smooth, high def sounding...

I bought these because they always intrigued me. I missed the (mass drop offering) and wanted the fabric cushion version (95X). I saw these here and bought them on the spot. They are everything I was hoping for. EXTREMELY light and comfortable for long listening sessions. Some may complain they feel cheap.. its made this way to be light almost weightless for a transparent sound experience...

I also own multiple Audeze (LCDX/LCD2/LCD2C) and Sennheiser (HD6XX) headphones and like these the best because they don't sound forced.

They are very "natural" sounding not bass cannons. For acoustic/ jazz / relaxed rock etc it really sounds like you are "there" It's really hard to explain without experiencing it yourself. It is kind of like wearing glasses without their lenses but you can see perfectly out of the frames when you have them on. Think this way in terms of sound! The bag is also a nice way to store them. I am running the energizer off off an XDUOO XA-10 line out since it has an amazing AKM Dac and these things just sing.

Again Sound A+++ Build A (Great warranty makes it an A) A+++ total package.

This is my third pair of ESPs. You can't beat these electrostatics for transient response. My old ears appreciate the sound character of these cans that makes up for my age-related hearing issues- issues that many many more older audiophiles have than care to admit, including professional audio equipment reviewers. Unlike with dynamic or planar headphones, with the ESPs I hear lyrics and movie dialog clearly with ease without having to turn up volume to ear blasting levels. Music is well defined and balanced - no heavy bass thumping. I use some EQ to correct flaws in recordings. Overall, these are the best of the several dozen headphones I've bought, sold or demo'd over the 50 years I've been in the audio hobby game.

The ESP/95X is nice. The power supply is ok delivering the details with quality DAC. I like the ear cup designs and won’t put pressure on ears. I can hear classical musics and vocals details from designs.
