I owned my first pair in my teens in the 2000's and I bought my current pair in the 2020's, a few years back.

For me, the experience of liking the headphones includes my earlier experiences in the 2000's. I like them. that's all. :-) They give me good vibes and remind of my teenage years (that were as dark as they were light lol. I was such an emo as I still am), so I am a bit biased because they give me the "retro" vibes of my teenage years.

I can recommend these headphones. They are a good value for their price.

Note on the audio: Bass-oriented! Not a neutral sound at all, but if these are your only ones, you will not notice anything "strange" in them, they're just headphones you'll like using.

I love both bassful music like techno and punk/metal, but I also love classical music. I have no issues listening to the both of these categories with these headphones. But if I had the money and interest/commitment, I would buy another pair of headphones for classical music because these highlight the bass tones so much.

But the design, lightweightness and usefulness is already iconic at this point, so I enjoy my headphones with full heart. :) Go on and listen to something from Sum41 or HIM (His Infernal Majesty) with your new Porta Pro's if you decided to buy yours because of me lol :D

it limit in formats of playing - ACC, no hi rez. no reason to complain on the rest - it just great

I bought the Porta Pro to backup my 30 year old Radio Shack Pro 35A headphones. The Radio Shack headphones have served me well and they are my standard for lightweight head phone sound quality. The Porta Pro
matches the sound quality in a more comfortable design.

Really nice, portable headphones that sound great and also look amazing. They're light and comfortable, too. I'm a musician/composer with a home studio, and I've had a lot of headphones in my day - including other Koss models over the decades - and the Porta Pros are special. These Porta Pros go along with music studio and field recorder, and also serve as my headset for handheld gaming on my Steamdeck.

The ear pads were comfy, but I swapped out the stock ear pads with some Yaxi pads, which are larger and a bit more cushy, and that upped the comfort level even more. Also they come in a variety of colors, which is fun.

There's something cool about an old-school brand like Koss that continues to put out great products. I would definitely recommend these, and will probably get another pair of Koss headphones, probably a larger closed back model, for my studio.
